My dog was admitted while on holiday as an emergency following a suspected adder bite and I can’t fault the five star service of the team!

He stayed overnight and had phenomenal care and is now home recovering.

We were holidaying in Par when my dog became unwell and initially we saw the team in Par. Unfortunately my dog took a turn for the worse a couple of hours later and we took him to Summercourt where he was admitted with Haemorrhagic Gastroenteritis. The team were so reassuring, giving us frequent updates on his progress and he was allowed home later on the following day with a check up scheduled a couple of days later to make sure he was recovering well.

We took our Newfoundland dog in with a problem with her ears.  John, a temporary vet, treated her with as much care as any of the full time staff.  Having given her a general examination he then focussed on her ears.  He took swabs for examination at the practice and we were sent home until they had the results.  A call from John a couple of hours later confirmed a minor infection which could be treated with medication, which would be available to collect straight away. Took our Irish Wolfhound in on an emergency on Friday evening. Donna, the vet, was absolutely fantastic.  Nothing was too much trouble and she was brilliant with William, who was really quit poorly. Had to take my 10 wk old puppy emergency Friday evening (eating mummy’s hair ) and vet was amazing with us both sorted her out we spent few hours there so vet could keep checking on her but we where very happy to wait rather than admitting puppy highly recommended vets . all staff where great thank you , and puppy is doin great now 🥰

My recently adopted Romanian street dog whilst on a lead was attacked by x2 large terrier type dogs outside of time our house. Despite no blood being visible she was limping & in discomfort. After phoning & being given an appointment lily was assessed promptly.  The vet showed lots of kindness & empathy towards Lily. I had a clear forward care plan so hopefully Lily will soon be on the mend.
Lily is not yet insured or under the Beaconeer plan so I was apprehensive about costs but the total wasn't too bad, although medication costs per tablet does seem quite high (£14 something)

I had to bring my cat for an endoscopy procedure. Our experience with the vet, Jodie, was excellent. She was so friendly, informative and helpful. She listened carefully and explained everything in terms we would understand. She never rushed us, took all the time needed to go through everything and took the best care of my baby. I highly recommend Jodie.

As always, had an excellent consultation with one of the vets in order to make a decision about spaying my Maine Coon kitten who had to have major surgery earlier in the year. She demonstrated excellent knowledge of Bluebell's medical history and has arranged for her surgery next week in that context. Just visited Beacon vets at Newquay for the first time. We have two dogs - one who really does not like going to the vets. Newly registered with this practice and very happy with interactions with the helpful staff. The initial consultation with the vet was informative and a plan of action was instigated iwithin a holistic framework. I was given time to understand the type of skin lesion on my dog and the vet allowed time to listen to my explanation of my dogs history, behaviours and lifestyle. Visited as Sky is a bit drooly ( not like her) and some minor behaviour changes
Lovely vet ‘Ben’ really took time to reassure our deeply suspicious dog
Booked in for dental exam and bloods next week… impressed so far
No charge for her visit and the wormer and tick meds we picked up as she is in your vet plan
Scary estimate for next week but as you can see worth every penny
Been back for dentistry, price reasonable ( so worth being a Beaconeer) all good
Sky has just been back as she still has some issues and had a very careful examination and is now on an agreed course of treatment with a follow up appointment
Still concerned about my dog but very happy with my Veterinary practice
Now had a couple more visits but have another review in a month

This was my cat’s first appointment here after we registered her.  I was very impressed at the prices and we are now Beaconeers!  £18 per month for the membership benefits is incredibly good value.  Staff are friendly and welcoming.  She had a good health check over with Vet Sarah who was friendly and efficient.  Poppy certainly enjoyed the treats which made her feel settled. Each visit each vet has sorted problem out.
I think each vet is aware of how expensive vet care is and therefore don't push unnecessary tests etc.
They are friendly, efficient, professional.

From the moment we arrived, everyone was so kind, patient and understanding. They took the time to listen to our concerns and explained everything clearly, without ever making us feel rushed or pressured.
Our dog can be very nervous and reactive, so we really appreciated how understanding and gentle everyone was with him. They went above and beyond to make him feel as comfortable as possible, and that meant so much to us.

Left feeling sick to my stomach with what we had to pay for literally nothing.

Took our dog in as she has a problem with her ear. The vet began listening to her heart rate through her personal phone.... then wasn't able to look into her ear, so prescribed HUMAN painkillers and said to come back. Which we'll then have to pay another £48 just for another consultation. We paid £97 for 10 minutes of nothing, and human painkillers. It literally makes me physically sick, as I have to work a physical 8 hour shift for that money, but because vets go to uni for 3-4 years, they get £48 for 10 minutes to just listen to a dogs heart beat through their phone.

The vet also suspects it to be a yeast ear infection, which a few other professionals also suspect. Which we can literally treat holistically with Neem oil, Frankincense, Jojoba oil, and Rose geranium. A bottle is literally £10!!! We paid nearly £50 for human painkillers and sedatives....

When I asked the vet if the painkillers and sedatives would disrupt her gut bacteria, as we feed her raw and natural, she didn't have a clue what I meant. She just said "it won't give her an upset stomach".

The first time we took our dog here, one of the other vets recommended we also didn't feed our German Shepherd a raw diet too....

Vets is literally a scam. I'm on the search for a holistic community focused vets now.

One of my dogs has attended the Par veterinary surgery several times over the past few weeks seeing 2 different vets.  They have always been kind to the dog and very professional and thorough in the care given.  The medication prescribed has definitely helped alleviate symptoms.
We only moved to Beacon VetCare Par at the beginning of the year.  We previously took our dogs to another local practice but found their costs excessive, so we were so pleased when Beacon VetCare, an independent practice, opened up in Par.   Our monthly costs have reduced significantly and the care our dogs have received has been excellent.  Their onsite facilities are much better than our previous vet practice.  All staff that we have had contact with in Par have always been friendly and helpful.

My German shepherd  Cody, after nearly loosing him four days ago and undergoing emergency surgery at Beacon emergency vets at summer court is making great progress four days in.And thanks to the lovely vets and staff at Beacon vets at Par for his  Preop exam , even though he’s not a fan of vets they make him very relaxed as much as they could.
